Amir has a rare chromosome deletion that causes cognitive impairment and mobility issues. He meets his challenges with a positive attitude and likes nothing more than to be engaged with his siblings and friends, especially outdoors. An adaptive bike would provide tremendous physical activity to help Amir strengthen his muscles, but the cost is not covered by insurance and it is too expensive for a young family.
During the recent radiothon for adaptive bicycles, caring Variety donors heard about Amir and his wish to ride bikes with his siblings and peers….and they made it happen! Happy Trails Amir! Help Variety help all kids to Be Active, Be Social and Belong – donate today at varietykc.org.
