May 24, 2005 proved to
be a perfect Spring day for a golf tournament as was experienced
by 144 players who arrived at the beautiful WinterStone Golf Course
in Liberty, Mo. to help raise money for Kansas Citys special
needs kids.

Director and Variety 1st Vice-President who spearheaded
the Scramble and Randy Summerville of Hy-Vee double-checked the
list of the days events.

With Registration at 8:00am
and Shotgun at 9:00am, the golfers started arriving early to be
sure and partake of the Continental breakfast buffet provided
by Hy-Vee Catering. Volunteers at the Registration table were
Tracy Boschert of Hy-Vee and Variety Directors Lindsay Hubbard,
Victoria Otto, Linda Norfleet and Executive Director, Nadine Mummaw.

3rd Vice-President Cathy Clay recorded scores from
Hole 4.

While the
scores were being tallied, the golfers gathered at the outdoor
pavilion for the awards banquet, enjoyed a full buffet featuring
grilled steaks and salmon, browzed the Silent Auction tables and
awaited with anticipation the announcement of the team with the
best score.
