Young Variety 

Young Variety is on a mission:

For the coming summer we are going collect 100 bicycles for special needs children in our area.

Three of those bikes are even going to be extra special bikes because they will be the top of line adaptive bikes for children with particular physical challenges.

In fact, this is not only a formula we are planning for this summer but we want continue this gift for years to come... putting together Summer + Kids + Bikes!

And you know what else means summer in Kansas City don't you...?

The Kansas City Royals!

And here is where it gets really cool!

Variety approached the Royals Foundation with a grant request of $5,000 hoping to get help with the special adaptive bicycles (seen just to the right).

Our Royals not only helped... they helped to the tune of $10,500!... that's enough to cover all the special adaptive bicycles!

Just think back to your childhood for a moment... remember how important your bike was to you?

Now, take that 100 times over and that's the impact that Variety and our Kansas City Royals will have on our community through this promotion.

(And we're looking into the possibility of awarding the bicycles at a Royal's home game this summer.)

A huge thank you to the Royals and the Glass family for believing in Variety's vision and "stepping up to the plate" and helping the children in the community we serve.

Each new bike costs $150 dollars to change a life of a child.
