Variety KC’s Go-Baby-Go! Program modifies toy ride-on cars to enhance mobility and sociability for young children with disabilities. Together with Barstow Robotics and other local teams, we create customized cars for each child to have and enjoy at home! All applicants must complete an application (and have a letter of referral from a therapist) as well as undergo a quick evaluation for the program (to get measurements and determine the level of support for the car being built). All applicants must be below 40 pounds (due to the size limit of the cars). This opportunity is open to children who have already received a grant from Variety KC OR have yet to receive a grant item (participation in Go Baby Go does not impact your child’s availability to request a Variety KC Grant in the future).

We had the most incredible time last year with @thebarstowschool and @barstow_robotics bringing our Go Baby Go program back to life after a little hiatus! With the guidance of our amazing Physical Therapists, Shelby and Grace, robotics teams from around the KC area each customized a car to meet the individual needs of each of our six Go Baby Go participants – Amelia, Waylon, Ruthie, Beau, Emerson, and Atlas!
