Join Variety KC for Walk, Roll and Run, a community-wide 1K and 5K designed for everyone. Whether you run, walk, roll, volunteer, or participate from wherever you are, this event brings people together to create access and inclusion for children with disabilities.
What This Event Is
This is more than a race.
Walk, Roll and Run is a celebration of movement, inclusion, and community. It is a day where families, supporters, and participants of all abilities come together to be active, be social, and belong.
From competitive runners to first-time participants, from families with strollers to children using adaptive equipment, everyone has a place here.

Walk, roll, or run the 5K route at Aspiria. Whether you are chasing a time or just enjoying the morning, every step supports Variety KC.
1K
A shorter, family-friendly route designed for all ages and abilities. Perfect for families, kids, and inclusive participants who want to be part of the experience.
Volunteer
Help bring the day to life. From check-in to course support to cheering sections, volunteers are what make this event feel special.
Virtual Participant
Can’t make it to Aspiria? You can still be part of Walk, Roll and Run from anywhere.Choose your distance, complete it on your own time leading up to May 2, and share your experience. Walk your neighborhood, run your favorite trail, or roll with your family. You are still part of this community and this mission.

Who can participate?
Everyone. This event is open to all ages, abilities, and levels of experience.

What is a virtual participant?
Virtual participants complete their walk, run, or roll on their own time and in their own location leading up to May 2. You can still fundraise, share your experience, and be part of the event.
Can I create a team?
Yes. Teams are encouraged and can include friends, family, coworkers, schools, or community groups.
Is this event family-friendly?
Absolutely. The 1K and overall event experience are designed with families in mind.
How do I volunteer?
