Meet the Kids – Brooklyn!

Disability: ASD
Needs a Communication Device and Apps

Brooklyn is a very sweet little girl. She likes to play with puzzles, bubbles, cause and effect toys and cars. She also likes to watch Mickey Mouse. Brooklyn is mostly nonverbal- she does have a few pop out words and phrases. Her speech/language pathologist has started to use the app, Proloquo2go with her and after only two sessions, she began to point to what she wanted and also said “go”! We are very encouraged by her progress and would like to be able to give her a voice that she can use at home and in the community.

Leah is joyful. She likes to play and interact with those around her. She will wave to friends and family, but is shy around large crowds and those who are unfamiliar to her. She likes to play with dolls, read books, and loves bubbles. With the use of an ipad, we could read books together and she could answer questions and communicate with those in her environment.
