Meet Emmalee!

Disability: Autism

Needs: Ipad and apps

Emmalee is the youngest of four children. She is very loved. She struggles to communicate her wants and needs with her family. Emmalee is mostly nonverbal, she does not use many words to communicate. She has just recently started to lead us to what she wants, which is a huge step. She has used an ipad during therapy and has shown success. If she was able to have a device that she could use while she is at home, at the park, and while she is playing or eating, she would not be frustrated to let us know what she wants. This gift would mean so much to us. With four children in the family, we do not have the funds to purchase an ipad that would allow her to communicate more effectively with her siblings, mom and dad and grandparents, and friends. Thank you for considering this request.

Emma’s favorite place to be is outside. She loves to swing and slide and also jump. In the summer time she loves to go to splash parks or play in her kiddie pool. She also loves to stand in the rain and jump up and down in muddy puddles like Peppa Pig. In the winter, she loves to play in the snow. Her favorite toys are any type of figurines, Mr. Potato Head, puzzles, Legos and her dollhouse. She loves Mickey & Minnie, Peppa Pig, Bubble Guppies, Puppy Dog Pals & Paw Patrol!
