Damien is 2 years old and developmentally around 9 months. He has a rare form of epilepsy that halted his development early. Damien and his family spent most of last year in and out of hospitals trying to get control of his spasms. They now have control of his epilepsy and he is making many gain slowly but is still unable to crawl or walk. It means the world to Damien and his siblings to be able to play together in a more interactive way. He is very social and loves watching his brother get around. Damien would be so excited to move himself around as well. Damien is such a determined and happy boy even despite all that he’s been through. Because of his meds Damien has low tone which means he will likely take a lot longer to make gross motor gain to help him be mobile.
