Talon was born with Large bone deficiency and was missing Tibia’s in both legs and a radius in his right arm. He also has missing fingers as well. Talon is a very active young man and enjoys playing with his peers and Wheelchair rugby team, KC Revolution. When Talon was 9 months old the Doctor’s Amputated his legs through the knee and did a centralization on his right wrist. He has recovered wonderfully and has become an inspiration to all he encounters. He runs yearly at the UCO Endeavor Games and has been to the Junior Nationals twice where he has won a Gold metal in several events of Track and Field and Silver in Swimming.
Talon enjoys running, playing football, soccer, basketball and Wheelchair Rugby. He is very active and always has a smile on his face. 3 years ago at an Ability Expo in Overland Park, the coach Tony Durham of the KC Revolution was doing a demo with the team and asked Talon if he wanted to wheel around and see if he would like the rugby chair. We attended a few practices and Talon took off with the sport. Talon was donated a chair from a team mate Kari Morgan (St. Louis Team) and he has used this chair for the past 2 years. Talon has started to almost outgrow his chair. He is quick and is currently the youngest player in the Nation at 12. He really enjoys this sport and has met many competitors from around the country and enjoys suggestions on ways to improve his techniques throughout the season.
