Meet the Kids – Isabela!

Isabela is very smart, she loves to watch and imitate others interactions. She has a spirit of determination and doesn’t like to give up easily. Isabela has down syndrome, and before we left the hospital when she was born, she had severe hearing loss, and after many appointments with Children’s Mercy we learned she would have to wear a bone conduction in order to transfer the sounds to her good ear.

Isabela is now in Kindergarten. She is a persistent young lady, and this gift from Variety will allow for her to properly interact with the students in her class as well as get the proper instruction from her teacher. With her having this it allows for her to be included in the family conversations as well as being an active participant.

Isabela is very kind and generous, and loves to be involved with anything her family or friends are a part of. My favorite quality of Isabela, I appreciate the drive of imitation and the drive to not easily give up. We love the morning time together, as this is before the other two kiddos get up so it gives us time to spend together preparing for the day. I also love night time routine, we read books together and are able to spend more time together. She loves to dance to any music but loves Christmas music the most.
