Meet the Kids – Jake!

If you believe every kid should be active, be social, and belong – please donate today

Jake is diagnosed with autism.  Jake is such a smart, loving, funny boy. Jake loves school and his teachers. We are just learning every day to help our son who means the world to us. Jakes smile and laugh can make anyone’s day.

Jake is learning at school how to communicate his wants and needs with an app on a iPad at school. It is very hard for Jake to communicate since he is non verbal. As you may know it can become very upsetting and frustrating to everyone when communication is a barrier. He is doing so well with this at school and seems less frustrated and happier to express himself more. It would mean the world to have this at home as well. Home is Jake’s safe space and being able to communicate with family in a way that helps us to understand Jake better would mean the world to us.
