Meet the Kids – Mark!

If you believe every kid should be active, be social, and belong – please donate today

Mark is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Pica, Mixed Receptive – Expressive Language Disorder.

Mark gets frustrated when we are unable to understand his wants and needs. A communication device has been recommended for Mark to communicate with others. Usage of communication devices in the past proved effective, as he seems calm and gets less frustrated when he uses it, in addition to him being able to communicate with us and understand his needs when requested. With more practice with the device, we hope that Mark’s communication skills will improve.

Due to his diagnosing with Autism, we as parents are worried about Mark’s future and his ability to grow among his peers. Fortunately, usage of the communication device and therapy gave us hope. We noticed changes in his behavior and the way he interacts with us that he is improving.
