We are building a sensory room to provide a quiet, welcoming space for attendees who may need a break during a concert or Broadway show, allowing them to stay and enjoy the experience. Additionally, Variety KC is donating an accessible golf cart for the parking lot, designed to accommodate mobilized wheelchairs, ensuring smoother access to the theater for all guests.

Variety KC is thrilled to partner with Blue Valley Recreation to bring a brand-new inclusive playground to the corner of 137th & Antioch – right in the heart of Overland Park. With the help of Cunningham Recreation, this one-of-a-kind space will feature accessible playground equipment, sensory-friendly areas, and a walking trail designed for everyone to walk, roll, and play together. Together, we’re creating a space where all kids can Be Active, Be Social, and Belong.

This innovative park, the FIRST of its kind in KC, will be a sanctuary of inclusion, featuring two adaptive playgrounds, an accessible walking trail, a TOPSoccer field, accessible restrooms with universal changing tables and so much more.
