As our mission continues to grow across the Kansas City region, so does our team. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, volunteers, partners, and supporters, we are expanding our staff to serve more children and families than ever before.
Each new team member represents more than a new face. They bring additional expertise and creativity to help build inclusive playgrounds, provide life-changing adaptive equipment and therapy, and create accessible, community experiences where every child can Be Active, Be Social, and Belong.
Many of these faces may already be familiar. We’re bringing the Chappelow Events team into Variety KC. For years, they’ve been working behind the scenes alongside our organization to advance the #InclusionRevolution. What began as a trusted partnership has grown into one unified team with a shared vision for the future. Today, we’re excited to officially welcome them into new roles as part of the Variety KC family.

Leading Variety KC’s Next Chapter
One of the most exciting additions is the appointment of Beth Chappelow as President of Variety KC.
For nearly a decade, Beth has partnered with Variety KC through Chappelow Events, helping shape fundraising strategy, marketing, communications, and unforgettable mission-driven events and experiences. With more than 20 years of experience spanning nonprofit leadership, business ownership, fundraising, and strategic event management, Beth brings a unique combination of mission-driven and entrepreneurial expertise to her new role as President of Variety KC.
