Super Bowl Parade Accessibility Options

If you believe every kid should be active, be social, and belong – please donate today

As many of you may know, Variety KC worked hard last year with The Sports Commission for the NFL Draft to ensure this national event was inclusive for individuals of ALL abilities! As we prepare for tomorrow’s Super Bowl Parade, we wanted to share a few accessibility options with our community, especially for those considering attending. Variety KC strongly believes that all events in Kansas City, such as the Super Bowl Parade, can be and SHOULD BE enjoyed by ALL!! ♥️

Parade producers have designated space in Crown Center Square for wheelchairs and ADA accessibility. Please be advised that space is limited and is first come, first serve. The parade and rally will be televised in this area. ASL interpreters will be present on the rally stage and will be shown on the video boards during the rally.

For information on ADA parking, visit the websites of Crown Center, and Union Station.

If you have any questions about accessibility, we encourage you to contact Erica Good, City ADA Liaison at (816) 513-1818. Jamie Guillen is the Director of Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity for the City of Kansas City.

Unfortunately, Variety KC is upset to hear that universal changing tables will not be available for the rally. However, we are ALWAYS working to improve and will not stop until all events in Kansas City can be enjoyed by ALL!! Variety KC has recently had a conversation with a contact who created the first trailer with an adult changing station available in San Antonio. Although it won’t be ready by tomorrow, we hope to have a trailer with a universal/adult changing station available for all future Kansas City events!! 🎩✨

We hope that EVERYONE finds a way to enjoy and celebrate our very own back-to-back SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS, The Kansas City @chiefs! What an exciting week!! ♥️💛🏈 Please be safe throughout all of your celebrations and continue to provide feedback so we can persevere in our #inclusionrevolution – continuously listening, learning, growing, and improving Kansas City to make it the most inclusive city in the world!
